It's Toadally Awesome!

The purpose of the Kids Community Club Savings Account is to encourage children to develop the habit of saving their money while gaining a responsible attitude about the use of money. We believe the ultimate result will be these children becoming financially responsible adults which will strengthen our economy.

The bank will provide a "mock-bank" environment to allow students to open Kids Community Club Savings Account and make monthly deposits while at school, thereby learning first-hand how to save their allowance and other income. In order to accept deposits at school, the bank has designated one day each month as Bank Day. Students may make deposits, as little as $.25 cents, into their accounts on these days or at any other time during the year by visiting a Community Bank & Trust office.

A student identification card is issued with each new account for use by the student as identification at each bank office.

A student identification card is issued with each new account for use by the student as identification at each bank office.

A savings passbook is issued with each account to maintain a record of all transactions.

There is no minimum deposit required to open the account. After the account is opened, the minimum deposit is $.25 (twenty-five cents). Withdrawals from the account may be made ONLY at a CBTCC office- never at school. The student must be accompanied by one authorized co-owner on the account and two signatures are required on the withdrawal slip.

Community Bank & Trust has adopted Freddy Financial, a small, green toad with a smile a mile wide, a princely personality, and a knack for saving money, to represent its Kids Community Club Savings Program. The program, which has been approved by the Cheatham County School Board and is supported by the Tennessee Bankers Association and the American Bankers Association, is designed to provide children the opportunity to make their own bank deposits and develop a financial knowledge to prepare them for a successful future.
